Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Slippr collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit the site, create an account, join the beta, and use the house-parlay experience.

Last updated March 15, 2026

1. Scope

Slippr is a sports insights product with gated beta access across football and basketball surfaces. This policy applies to the website, authenticated app surfaces, waitlist flow, X-linking flow, and related operational support interactions.

Slippr does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

2. Information Slippr Collects

Depending on how you use the product, Slippr may collect:

  • Account data such as name, email address, avatar, and account identifiers from Clerk.
  • X account metadata needed to verify that a user has completed the required linking step.
  • Profile, entitlement, and usage data required to gate beta access and enforce product limits.
  • Device and session signals, including a stable browser fingerprint used for abuse prevention.
  • Operational logs, request metadata, and troubleshooting records needed to secure the service.
  • Messages you send to Slippr support or legal contacts.

3. How Slippr Uses Information

  • Authenticate users and keep account records in sync across Clerk and the app backend.
  • Operate the waitlist, tier gating, X-linking, house-sheet delivery, and quota enforcement flows.
  • Prevent duplicate-account abuse, fraud, suspicious automation, and security incidents.
  • Monitor reliability, investigate failures, resolve bugs, and improve product quality.
  • Comply with legal obligations, enforce the Terms of Service, and protect Slippr users.

Where local law requires a legal basis, Slippr generally relies on contract performance, legitimate interests in running a secure service, and consent when you choose optional actions such as contacting support.

4. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

Slippr uses Clerk-managed authentication mechanisms and browser storage. The frontend also stores a stable device identifier in local storage so the backend can recognize repeated access from the same browser and reduce abuse.

Disabling cookies or local storage may prevent parts of the authentication and account protection flow from working correctly.

5. When Information Is Shared

Slippr shares information only where needed to operate the service, including with:

  • Clerk for identity, authentication, and linked-account management.
  • Supabase for application data storage and access-controlled persistence.
  • Hosting, analytics, and infrastructure providers such as Vercel and Heroku.
  • Trusted service providers used for operational notifications, payments, or support workflows.
  • Authorities or counterparties when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

6. Data Retention

Slippr retains personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security logs, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the data type, whether an account remains active, and whether the information is needed for fraud prevention or compliance.

7. Security

Slippr uses layered technical and organizational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access, misuse, and data loss. No online system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so you should also use a strong password and protect your own devices.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, or to object to certain processing. Slippr will review and respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

To make a privacy request, contact legal@slippr.xyz.

9. Age Restrictions

Slippr is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to access sports-related prediction products in their jurisdiction. Slippr does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

Slippr may update this Privacy Policy as the product, laws, or provider relationships evolve. If changes are material, the updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date.
